Hi There!

When I was in the last university year, we use to change a lots of data and at that time I gave a very complete list (without keeping a copy for myself) of heat transfer coefficients in all kinds of heat-exchangers, mainly related to serpentines to heat industrial dying baths.
I wonder how much heat/power can I transfer along one meter of serpentine, with steam at 6 [bar] inside it and heating bath water outside?
Thank you for any tips
Welch

From literature, the overall heat transfer coefficient (OHTC) could range from 300 to 1200 W/(m2.K) depending on many variables such as the geometry of the fixture, the steam quality, the efficient removal of condensate and non-condensables, whether the water-bath is mechanically agitated or not, whether it is just heated or boiling, the composition of the water-based fluid, and the fouling factors. I hope I didn't skip any important constraint.
