We have a relatively cool liquid (140 C) entering into the top of a heated CSTR(267 C). The liquid has about a 2 meter distance to travel before it reaches the material inside the reactor. I need to determine (or at least estimate) how much of the liquid may flash off in the time the liquid is traveling through the head space down into the reactor, but I need to know the heat transfer coefficient between the liquid (mostly ethylene glycol) and the vapors coming up from the material in the reactor (ethylene glycol and water). Any help is appreciated.
