Heat transfer Calculations for Boiler Design

Are there books or journals or commercial softwares available for thermal calculations of Boilers especially oil fired package boilers?

with regards to books or journals, yes there are available.
with regards to software, the software is likely not commercially available (corporate asset).
a potential contact is v. ganapathy at abco boilers in abilene, tx. he has written many articles, journals, and books that are available for a $. i beleive he has the articles he wrote on a cd.
another source of information is the book by the babcock and wilcox corporation regarding steam powered plants (do not recollect the correct book title). good luck

The book by Babcock and Wilcox that pmover suggests is, I believe, "Steam: its generation and use". Half.com has quite a few copies on sale, check the edition, lots of are older ones out of the 60s.

You might try "Heat Exchanger Design Handbook" by Hewitt. It's available from Amazon.

I've downloaded the demo and tested. You need .NET run time too. Quite a good software.
