This article explain essentials of Heat Tracing, comparison between Steam Tracing and Heat Tracing as well as Process Designing of Heat Tracing by using Spirax Sarco Practice, Chevron UTL-800 Method, and Thermon CompuTrace-ST Version 3.0.1 Software which includes computation of required parameters such as Steam Rate, Steam Header Size, Steam Tracer Size, Optimum Insulation Thickness and Maximum Allowable Tracer Run, moreover Excel Design Sheet comprising of all above three mentioned methods is also attached at the end of this article.
