Heat resistant material

Hi, I am designing a device that is similar to an old fashioned kerosene lantern and requires a clear shroud that screens the flame from wind etc. The proximity of the shroud to the flame is approx 40mm. Needless to say, the shroud also has to be transparent. Any ideas on a heat resistant, transparent plastic that is injection mouldable?

in order of increasing heat resistance (and cost), you can try: high-heat polycarbonate (PC), polysulfone (PSO), and polyethersulfone (PES).

Bayer also had a high heat PC called Apec, but maybe even standard PC might do it, depending on the actual temperatures reached.

Is flammability an issue.

Is impact strength an issue.

I suggest that you take all situations into account.
For instance:

What if, the lantern tips over and spills the combustible fluid onto the clear lens?

What if, the combustible fluid flashes over?

These are simple reasons as to why companies like "Coleman" use glass.
