Are there any sealants that will reduce leakage from small size Heat Pumps (1-2 Ton Capacity)?

I've had modest success with self-wicking Loctite, and somewhat less success with 5minute epoxy+ductape overwrap. For the long term, it's better to re-make the joint, or replace the fractured tube, or whatever, in the proper way.
