I am looking to increase the concentration of 79% w/w sulphuric acid by mixing it with 96% w/w sulphuric acid.

The dilution of 96% to 90% sulphuric acid is exothermic, however am I right in thinking that the increase of concentration of the 79% to 90% sulphuric is endothermic. Will this absorb the heat from the exothermic dilution causing an overall endothermic mixing?

Thanks

Fig 2-30 in Chapter 2 of Perry Chem Engg Handbook 7th edition shows the enthalpy graph for H2SO4. Using the lever rule, you may figure out what the temp and enthalpy of the mix solution will be.
