I was wondering if someone could tell me the rate of heat loss of a rectangular tank of water.
Tank Dimensions (meters):
Length=1.524
Width=2.13
Height=1.542
It is filled to a height of 1.42 meters.
Ambient temperature is 10°C
Water temp. is 90.5°C
Tank is constructed of 1/4 carbon steel
The tank sits on concrete
Tank has no lid.
Wind speed is about 2 m/s
I'm hoping that knowing the amount of heat that the tank rejects to its surroundings will help me to size a heater to maintain the 90.5°C.
Thanks in advance
