HDPE inside drop Manhole 2

I've searched the web up and down in search of a sample inside drop manhole detail using HDPE piping with no restraints. Can anyone shine some light on my search? Any help is appreciated.

I've never heard of that, and I can't imagine how one would construct it. Why don't you want to use restraints?

plastic pipe doesn't do so well without adequate restraint. it doesn't have the mass and rigidity that iron, vcp or other pipes have. Typical drop design is exterior, vcp, generally with full concrete encasement. Suggest using restrained joints and anchor to the manhole or encase the whole thing.

I prefer exterior also, and so will the folks who have to enter the manhole to do maintenance work...4' dia is narrow enough to work in, I hate to take more of it away for a drop structure.

Fully encased is the only way to go, or else what happens if somethihg breaks it in the future.

I would first like to say Thanks to all. I am trying to design a Master Manhole (>6'), just upstream from the lift station wet well, that will have an inside drop vs. the drop at the wet well. I would like to have the inside drop piping to be HDPE vs. PVC, due to the high-tech fusion bonding of the HDPE vs. PVC fitting. Has anyone seen/heard of this before? Is this practical? Any help is appreciated.

Not sure what you have planned for the MH material, but, if you wanted to go with all HDPE, I am sure there is a supplier that could help design and build what you are looking for. Then just drop it in place.
