Hi, I have to establish hardware (standard parts Bolts, nuts, Washer) library in Teamcenter. This will help to make it easier for the engineers to pick recommended hardware thereby increasing manufacturing and cost efficiencies. Is any suggestion or best practices on this?

Thanks,

yes Download the Machinery Library from GTAC. The tools are easy to use. I just did this on our system and it works great. Read all of the documentation and then follow it closely and you should have little to no issues. If you do have issues GTAC and search this forum for it and you will get many results and solutions to your questions.

Thanks SDETERS,

I Downloaded Machinary library from GTAC. Now I need to edit to the specific part numbers and bringing in to TCE. which is the best practice to create library in TCE?
and also which is the preferable option part family or Knowledge re use to establish the library?

Knowledge Reuse library is installed in my system in below path C:\UGS\NX6\UGII\Reuse Library\Standard Parts and I am able to trace the parts in NX.

When I select the fastener to ‘Add to assembly’ it’s giving an error ‘the family members saving directory does not exist’ causing unable to load the part.

Also I have created the Child components from master file spreadsheet. How these child parts can be loaded in to the Reuse library? and user can pick it from the reuse navigator.

Find attached file.

I ran into this same issue. Go to File Customer Defaults gateway Reuse Library In the Part name Definition Tab There is a Natvie NX Part Family save Directory. For WIndows you will need to set a location on your PC that does exist. If you look at the current directory you have it probably does not exist on your computer. Change this and you should be good to go.
