Hardy Cross Method

I have created a simple EXCEL tool that uses Hardy cross method to calculate the water flow through each pipe in a single loop that consists 6 pipes. The loop is fed by 9 well pumps. I use the solver tool in EXCEL to do the iteration. Although solver gives me the soltions, still the Delta Q(Assumed flow- Actual flow) in the loop is fairly large. Any thoughts on this?

sounds like a lot of work. why not try epanet for free?
 
You may have reached a point where you have one or more (even all) pipes changing their flow direction and yet the absolute value of dQ remains numerically constant, ie. flows are alternating from +Q to -Q during each iteration.

Thanks guys for all your feedback. Yes I can use EPAnet, watergems or infowater. But I am going to develop this tool for a well field analysis and the loop is the first subcomponent.
 
Do some copy-paste line by line iterations rather than turn it over to solver and you'll be able to see exactly what is happening between each iteration.
