I am looking into a new graphics card and motherboard setup to run Solidworks more efficiently. Right now I am looking at an ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 and a AMD FirePro V5900 gpu. I am getting mixed reviews and therefore mixed feelings about the GPU. Therefore I ask those of you online if there is any personal views you have about this card, the MOBO less so, but if you have input on that please advise. I currently have an asrock (unfortunately) mobo with an AMD gaming card that I don't necessarily want to get rid of. Is there any way that I would be able to link the two graphics cards with the AMD CrossFire link, would that work between the two different types of cards?
