it says for B scale, and T, use 1/16 diamond ball indenter. our tester comes with a steel ball. any difference in the result?

Rockwell B & T Scales use a 1/16" diameter, hardened steel ball.

If your testing is to conform to standards (e.g. ASTM E18), then you need to use a tungsten carbide ball, not steel and not diamond. Old versions of the standards allowed steel balls, but no longer. Do not use random internet sites for information, go directly to reputable information sources.
