I want to hand generate 40w for 30 seconds is this possible with a 4"dia x 1" housing

I built a neodymium motor 20 poles the windings were done by a transformer house but I was unable to remagnatize the neo's

I bought a brushless motor turns out I had to turn it 60:1 not an easy task.

Not my strong suit but I offered to help with this project..

Regards

I don't know. Looking around the web seems to me that your space is about the size of 20W.

This is a 25W generator you can scale to the bananas.

Those generators guys sit at and crank with both hands are only about 30W I think.

57 in-lb at 60 rpm is right at 40 watts with no loss. I would think the system would have at least 50% efficiency so it seems like you should be able to do it.

With a 6" radius handle turning one rev per second you would required about 20lb of force with a 50% efficient system.

If this is a home project you might be able to use an old drill motor gear head for a speed increaser.
