Hi all,

I'm having an issue verifying an analysis with WF5 Mechanica. I'm new to Mechanica but I know enough to get myself into trouble. My I-beam has a uniform load of 2500 lbf/ft and I need to match a hand calculation to the von mises stress. I keep getting 2.2 ksi in my calculation and the stress in the center of the beam is 5 ksi per the analysis and I cannot seem to match the two. Ignore the two holes at each end, I have them there so I can do pin constraints (unless those are what my issue is evolving from). I'm using the von mises eqn SQRT(sigma1^2-(sigma1*sigma2)+sigma2^2). Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.
Jordan
