Greetings

I have one ancor in base plates has tension force . No space for adding ful net so contractor add half nut .. how can I calculate that the half nut will able to sustain the tension force

Thanks

A half nut will have far less than half the tension capacity. It may be as little as 25% by the time lead-in chamfers and incomplete threads are accounted for. I like the approach for the elocone nuts.

Thanks for sharing that article jjl317, I haven't come across it before.
