HELLO ALL:
I have seen several light airplanes (Cessnas, pipers, etc) with hail dimples. I have HEARD that the hail dimples can be removed by palcing dry ice over the dimple.

Is this true? If not is their a method other than reskinning?

Regards
Dave

Dry ice doesn't make any sense at all.

How big are the dimples?

SPARWEB: Thanks for the response. The dimples I have seen are in round numbers .75 to 1 inch across and maybe 1/16" - 1/8" deep. It depends on the particular hailstorm they are in.

Regards
Dave

If you can afford it, try electomagnetic dent removal, there was a post somewhere on this forum about that.

Aviat's link at airstream mentions the people I was trying to think of.
