I have a stana=dard product which is made from Mild steel. I currently have an application where this componenet will be placed in an environment where H2S will be present. Would it be better to epoxy the componenet or use a differnet material?

H2SO4 or H2S and how much and what does the total fluid consist of?

It would be H2S04 the amount would be 10-40 ppm

A-560 Corten B would be a good material to use. It has the same weldability as carbon steel. In simple terms it is carbon steel with some copper tossed in. This has been used on chimneys for some time.

crb1976 ,can't you coating? unless you have moving parts?
