I have a predominantly methane gas feed with approximately 2,000 ppm H2S. What are the options for removal? From what I've seen:

1. Liquid scavenger: PPM level is probably too high, but why? Is this to do with OPEX or because of reaction byproducts? What are the reaction byproducts?
2. Amine column: Traditional, higher CAPEX
3. Other? solid bed? what is done with the spent catalyst, can this be regenerated in situ?
Any help much appreciated!!
Thanks

Many types of SO2 treatment systems are available at a variety of costs..... a lot depends on stream temperature which you seem to be not willing to give us

Again, we begin the long process of dragging the details out of your original posting...

Tell us everything about this process

- Is this a waste gas stream ? LFG ? Power Plant Emissions ? What is the stream volume ?

- What is the temperature range ? Pressure range ?

- What is the area available for the new system ?

This may help:

Gas flowrate? Continous operation or intermittent? Description of gas stream function - gas production or utility fuel gas, or other. Any other contaminants ?
