My company is currently looking to upgrade / replace our existing (1970)Girdler design H2S production plant (Require approx 8 tpd capacity). We are looking for potential technology providers and would also like to do some benchmarking of more recently installed plants to establish best practice design. Can any one offer some suggestions on either technology providers and / or operating plants.

MikeRL,

The current licensors are Bechtel Houston. the person that you want to contact is the Sulphur Technology Manager. Bechtel are the only people in the world that market this technology and now days they have a membrane technology that will remove sulphur from the H2S. So the line from your production facilities to the end user will not get clogged with sulphur.

Fritzy,
I understand that C&I have taken the licence from Bechtel.

Dear Mike

Your post is from already some time ago. But I still would like to mention that an alternative to the abovementioned technology is the biotechnological production from elemental sulfur. The advantage is that the H2S is produced under ambient conditions. Disadvantage is that it is approx. 15%. The remainder is N2 and CO2. Have a look at
