True that, but it's not a tank though, just a cowling to cover some sort of SIGINT data collection sensor, so not fundamentally different than the stuff above an AWACS or E2C, but very different than something holding liquid or compressed hydrogen.

I can't find an image but Airbus had a design study for a LNG (I think) powered A320 about 20 years ago, it looked like they stuck the radar fairing off an E-8 on the roof.
I recall that in one of his Skunk Works books Ben Rich mentioned H2 fuel was investigated for one of their projects in the 60's.
