hi my friends ,
how we can simulate gyroscopic effects in abaqus , please help me .

Does it allow you to put non-symmetric terms into the damping matrix?
If yes, you can simulate it. Gyroscopic effect at a given speed can be modeled as skew-symmetric terms in the damping matrix.

(2B)+(2B)' ?

I took a "factory" 7 day course in Abaqus a few years back. Since I sometimes work with big disks and always worry about resonant frequencies I asked the instructors how to handle gyroscopic effects and was told they had no way to handle that.

In the late 90s we used CosmosM before it was absorbed by Solidworks. During evaluation I asked how to include gyroscopic effects, and was told the current release could not, but it was on the 'to do" list, and was offered a maintenance discount to buy the current version. For the next few years that we were on maintenance we continued to get a discount since gyroscopic stiffening was not quite ready yet.

I am not advanced enough to know how to use ePete's method.
