Gusset Plate Weld Design 1

Is there a good design example that shows the weld design for a gusset plate similar to that shown? The gusset will be welded in place; it's an existing structure.

The a' and b' are the distances to the beam and column centroids

AISC design guide 29 has plenty helpful examples.

The general gist goes determine a set of admissible forces using uniform force method (or other equilibrium based method), work out average weld stresses under the vertical and horizontal forces on beam and column gusset faces, multiply by ductility factor of 1.25 and design weld for that.

 
Thanks Agent... got it... I was using the KISS method without knowing it was that. I'll take a look to see how the other methods compare.
