gusset plate design

Can anybody point me to a good, simple, free design guide for the design of steel gusset plates? Or, is that asking too much? Thank you.

Blodgett's "Design of Welded Structures" covers this well in relation to bracing column baseplates. The book is about $30 through Lincoln Welding and you can't beat what you get for the price.

The gusset plate is in a planar truss.
