I need to compare the advantages of GRP pressure pipe for raw water with ductile iron and steel.

I have no experience of GRP - I would welcome any advice on potential problems of GRP buried pipe installation.

Diameters are 400mm to 1700 mm pressure rating up to 25 Bar.

Thanks

Brian

Dear Bris to make comparison between GRP/GRE and DI/Steel, by knowing the following factors you will be able to make appropriate selection;
1. Raw water properties (TDS, PH, Temperature...etc)
2. the depth of the cover from the ground level to the top of the pipe (DI/Steel can sustain load more than GRP/GRE).
3. the siol codition and properties.
4. the climatic condition.

In common GRP/GRE installation and maintenance is esier than DI/Steel pipes.
