Grove weld in NX 6

I am trying to weld two plates by using grove weld option. It is automatically generating linkedbody or promoted body.I dont want this linkedbody or promoted body.Because this bodies also having the same weight of original object. Due to this total weight of arrangment is increased. COuld anyone help me to make
the grove weld without linked or promoted bodies?

Hi.

When you want to use weld assistant you have to accept the creation of these linked bodies...That's just how the function works.

What you can do is remove the resulting linked bodies from your reference set model...then they shouldn't be taken in the mass calculation anymore.
