Groundwater recharge - Open pit

I have several months water elevation data for the recharge of an abandoned open pit. I am wanting to make future predictions of water elevations within the pit. Is there a formula or standard curve which I can apply in order to make a reasonable prediction?

If you have the data than why don't you plot out a graph? Although many factors may change depending on rain events, spring run-off, winter, pumps and wells nearby as well as any changes to the permeability of the pit floor but if it stays abandoned this should not vary much unless the seepage in from the pit floor in which case it could increasae over time. I would plot the data as well also showing weather info...rain vs drought and to aid in predictions check back through records for average precip info. If you could figure out how much the pit level would rise for every milimetre of rain. Just a few brainstorming ideas.

If you have any well data from the surrounding area, you can plot water level elevations and get an idea if the water level in the pit is stable or not. If there is a dent in the water table centered around the pit, it is possibly filling up, (or draining a higher aquifer into a lower aquifer..) Anyway, the more project area water level data that you can get, the better.
