I'm considering the ATI FireGL V3400 for running an 85MB assembly on a single display dell system with winXP. Will this card be sufficient to speed up the choppiness I'mexperiencing with the large assembly?I currently only have the integrated graphics on my Dell Optiplex GX520.

Thanks!

It will be infinitely better!

Integrated graphics only support 3D on paper, in reality the performance is next to unusable.

85MB is that the .asm or all the files in it? T

he V3400 is an OK card it will be a hole new world compared to the ATI X series you have now. You will be able to open up GL. You might look at a FX560 about $50 more but a better card.

I am using a V3100 for basic cad a FX4500 for animation a 8800GTS at home and used a FX560 at my last job. The FX560 is the best card for under $250.
