Friends, I have been working during a year as automation machine designer. Until now all machines I've been desinging are bit of simple and there is almost no room for fail although I want to upgrade my skills and to be capable of design machines in level like Krone's machines. Although I am pretty sure there is a lot of kinematic studies, as wells as synchronization studies, multi-body studies and much more that even I ignore. So I would like to know if there good source(books, classes, CAE software, courses and bla bla bla) which could help me to achive my personal goals. Any suggestions?

Take courses on Mechatronics.
Take a training course in Robot technology and programming.
Take a course in PLC programming.

Understanding these areas will serve you better when you combine them with standard machine design education.
