Hello all,

I am doing some work which involves an associative link between solidworks and abaqus (FE), i.e. design iterations after analysis. I have a number of components in the assembly. Is it good engineering practice to model and do all of the assembly in solidworks rather than abaqus?

Any input or experiences would be much appreciated.

Thanks

It really doesn't matter where your model originates. Do it where you can get it done quickly and accurately. Good engineering practice is simply to keep track of your input and output.
