I have modeled a sandwich panel for a 4 bar test where there are results from a physical test. The model uses laminate elements for the top and bottom skins and solid elements for the core. This was done because the balsa core is anisotropic. The top and bottom skins are symmetrical with six plies each. There is a top skin "layup" and a separate bottom skin "layup" so there is a total of twelve plies.
The model runs fine and I get good results for the core stresses. However, there are only six plies available in the list of sets of output vectors for the plies. Then I assigned a separate global ply ID for each of the twelve plies. The input file generated then assigned the global ply number for the ply ID on the PCOMPG card. Still there are only six plies listed in the available output vectors of the Femap post processor. I have also tried selecting the global ply option in the laminate options section of the "Select Postprocessing Data" box.
I am using Femap 11.1 and version 10.2 of NEiNastran. Is there a way to separate out the plies for the top and bottom skin?
