I've been looking for glass microspheres to use in some soils-related testing I've been involved with.

The microspheres need to pass the #30 sieve and be retained on the #40 sieve (0.425 to 0.600 microns in diameter).

Can you recommend any manufacturers for this product? What are typical costs for approximately 5kg of material? Thanks for your help.

You didn’t specify hollow or solid. Solid microbeads are a lot cheaper than solids.

Here is a company that we bought tons of beads from under the name “Cataphote”. They have office and plants all over the world. There US site is in Jackson Mississippi.

These kind folks gave me a nice 1/2 gal. sample of their cenospheres a couple of years back. Hollow... dirty... float... and yes will still cut you like glass if you handle them wrong.
