Dear all,
i have an urgent topic! A client is requiring, on open rectangular & circular tanks, “glass lining for carbon steel”. Now, tanks are sizes like 18 mt x 9 mt x 5 mt or similar, and will be of course shop prefabricated for site welding. They have a requirement on “design life of 25 years”. Do you know if it is possible to realize such units at workshop with glass application, or if this has to be applied at site, or if it is not possible because the definition implies use of oven, etc.?
I need a solution!!
I proposed coal tar epoxy 250 microns, do you think this could be a good solution for tanks internal lining? Water in subject is sanitary wastewater and we do not have any much past experience for glass lining complying with 25 yrs life approach in design. Thank you very much in advance.
