I think this is a consequence of low-e coatings... taking the cooler surface 'outdoors'... When I installed low-e glazing in our home about 30 years ago... I noticed the condensation and thought nothing of it. With most glazing, you can stand adjacent to the window and 'feel the cold' from the outside... not with low-e.
Rather than think climate change and the corona virus as science, think of it as the wrath of God. Feel any better?
