I'm working in GIS, and I'm new to the value engineering concept … can any one give me some idea about using value engineering in GIS.

Sorry, but... when searching for "GIS", returned me 37 meanings... which is the one you refer to?

And what do you mean for "value engineering "? Which is the relation with Valve Engineering?

I mean geographic information System (GIS).
Value engineering is eliminating the unnecessary cost without reducing the quality, that what I understand value engineering.

This is the valve engineering forum. You know, those things that start and stop and regulate flow in (usually) pipes.

Not the value engineering forum.

you might try posting this question in the civil / environmental engineering forum - as value engineering is used quite extensively in the public works arena. you will need to provide additional information as to what you are planning to do with the GIS.
