getrag 262 transmission

Hi,
Can someone identify the screw with bolt on next (to the right) to the gearlevershaft of the getrag 262 dogleg trans from an 1985 BMW M535i? It seems to be a kind of adjustable screw which I accidentily turned a few times. I have a pic but don't know if i can post it on this forum?
