Hello All,
I am contemplating purchasing a seat of Alibre Expert with the CAM add-in for our engineering dept. We currently run a number of seats of Solidworks, but due to, shall we say, budgetary restrictions, we are unable to purchase any of the high-end CAM packages.
That and we only do limited machining in-house, but the paper/pencil/calculator method only goes so far with complex 3D shapes. We do just enough of this work every year in the prototype shop where we can't justify hiring a CAM shop to run the code for us, nor can we justify a seat of Gibbs or other similar software. The Alibre package seems to be a perfect fit.
I have been pleased so far with the trial download. Has anyone any comments, positives or negatives that they'd like to share?
Thanks in advance!
It is better to have enough ideas for some of them to be wrong, than to be always right by having no ideas at all.
