Q#1. For the connection between raised face steel flage (B16.5 Class 150) and flat face steel flange (Class E), is it recommended to use ring gasket or full face gasket ?

Q#2. In case we have to connect cast iron flat face flange with raised face steel flange, Is it Ok to machine the raised face steel flange to make it flat and to connect it with the flat face cast iron flangs and to use full face gasket ? or to use FF cast iron flange with FF steel flange (like Class E).
