My name is Dominick from East-Africa Tanzania. I'm mechanical engineer working with OIL and GAS company for 4years. My company has a plan of doing hot tapping on the operating pipeline with pressure of 7.6Mpa,operating temperature is 40C PIPE thickness is 19mm and Pipe diameter is 36" and the point for hot tapping is single point. I would like to know an estimated price for this activity. Note the project is EPC contract. I'm waiting to here from you. thanks

I would approach some Hot tap specialists in your country for prices not post here.

Including mobilisation and all fittings and work I would allow up to 1 million dollars minus the civil work/ excavation

Far too many variables to give a better number.

Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.

You might check with TDW and see if they provide field services in your location. They are expensive, but no one is better for the actual hot tap.

LittleInch and zdas have given you some sage info based on your limited info. What is the size of the hot tap piping? Where will it be performed, on land, in water? One thing that I can say is that the proposed hot tap is quite feasible and can be done safely - especially on land.
