Hello everybody,

In our diesel hydroteater stabilizer column currently using as stripping agent H2 gases from Platformmer:
- purity 85mol.%
- flow rate 150 - 200kg/h

Since we start our PSA(pressure swing absorber), we intended to replace H2 gases with PSA Tail Gas so we proceed to a test-run( before of this we perform a simulation in order to check/establish operating parameters). During test run it was not possible to obtain diesel flash point(min.55oC).
Lab. could not determine FP, high volatility samples.

Tail gas composition, mol%:
H2 50; c1 15; c2 15; c3 9.5; ic4 2.7; nc4 1.8; i+nc5 0.9; c6 0.4; n2 2%

Tail gas flow rate: 800-1000kg/h

Stabilizer:
normal / test-run
condenser pressure,barg 1.7 / 1.7
bttm pressure, barg 2.2 / 2.2
top temp, oC 130-135 / 145-150
bttm temp, oC 240-242 / 250-255
reflux ratio,wt 0.8-1 / 1.2-1.3

Can you suggest a reason for this failure?

Kind regards,
Iulian1
