Hi everybody!
I'm not sure if it is well named as "Galvanizing Pot", the place where you have the liquid zinc to galvanize steel by hot dip proccess.
I'm about to build one of this elements, by welding 50mm thk conformed plates.
Plate I buyed is specified as NTU USI GV (I don't know if it has an American Standard equivalent), and I'm not sure what kind of electrode should I use. A local company tells me AWS E8010G is a good option to do the work.
Chem comp of plate (%): 0.08C, 0.28Mn, 0.019S, 0.063Al
Do you have some experience with this work? I'm worry about not only the mechanical performance of the weld but, also, the reaction between zinc and weld at high temperatures. What kind of electrode should I use?
Thanks in advance!
