Galvanising protection

I have a large frame with machined bores on a lug. It is not practical to machine after gavanising. Is there a good way of protecting the bores for galvanising?

It may be just as practical to ream them after galvanising.

I don't know if I am remembering this right or not, but I believe that we had to mask off some parts for galvanizing once and they used the expanding insulation foam.
You'll need to check with you vendor.
