Galvanic corrosion between galvanized steel and bare steel

Will bare mild steel that is in contact with zinc plated or hot dipped galvanized steel induce galvanic corrosion?

At the point of contact, it will accelerate the corrosion of the zinc. At some distance from the point of contact, it will corrode just like any unprotected carbon steel item.
