Can anybody explain how to test a galvanic anode cathodic protection system ?

I donot understand what are you really looking for?A CP system may be either with sacrificial anodes or impressed current systems.Testing of both these systems we mean to ensure that the protected structure is at the correct potential with respect to soil using a standard copper sulphate half cell.Is that the info you are looking for?

Kiribanda , i want to what standard is used for that and how to ensure that the system ( Underground ) is protected .

NACE International writes standards for corrosion protection. You may want to check with them. They will need to know the type of underground object that you wish to test.
