IS THERE ANOTHER GAGE THAT WILL MEASURE THE CENTERLINE OF MILLED SLOTS ON A LOCKNUT BESIDES A COMPARATOR?

It depends upon how it is shown on the drawing. If, as an example, it is shown in GD&T as a positional tolerance at MMC, then one can make a checking fixture.

If it is shown without GD&T, then one could use a CMM (co-ordinate measuring machine). Of course, one can also perform symmetry using tool room equipment with a index head and height gage with dial indicator.

These are some of the ways.

It is shown in GD&T, with a tolerance of .010 from center. I am making many different size locknuts and need a quick adjustable gaging method. Could anyone be more specific on how I could do this?

We really need the drawing here and then I can help you. You can send it to my e-mail address as an attachment. I will be out of town during this week but will pick up my e-mail in the evening.
