hi every body
can any one please to clarify why we are using aluminiuem type tubes for lubes furural solvent extraction unit exchangers (condensers), is it related to corrossion control reasons ? is carbon steel tubes are subject to accelerate coke formation?

request for your help

kind regards

IMHO, as long as strength limitations and low resistance to high fluid velocities are taken into account, aluminum is used in furfural units because of its resistance to naphthenic acid corrosion.
