Full fillet radius

Been trying to figure out how to make a "bull-nose dowel" or cylindrical solid (no taper) with a full-radius on the end.

Isn't this possible without revolving a sketch or knowing the exact radius?

Seems like such a simple thing to do, yet I see no examples or explanation in 'help'.

I read post # 559-12695 by shearstrength and that was similar but had to do with a cube or rectangular solid.

In the Features toolbar, try "Dome".

When "Dome" is used, it ADDS a hemisphere equal to the radius onto the face you select. (By setting Distance variable to zero)

For instance, we have a cylinder that is .198" dia, and .250" long.
One end is to be fully radiused and the cylinder to remain .250" long OAL.

You will need to use linked dimensions (change dia to radius dimension first), an equation or DT to fulfill this condition when using a Fillet.

From your post, it seemed to me you were looking for something like Dome. If not, use suggestions from CBL and/or smcadman.

ctopher, dome would have been my suggestion, but you beat me to it. Dome would work by simply reducing the length of the cylinder by half the diameter.
