I AM TRYING TO FIND OUT IF THERE IS A MAXIMUM AMOUNT (IN GALLONS) OF FUEL THAT A PASSENGER VEHICLE CAN CARRY, WITHOUT SPECIAL LICENSING? ANY INFO WOULD BE OF GREAT HELP

MIKERSR,

SAE does not publish regulations, but standards. You may wish to search for SAE standards (check out the FAQ Where can I get SAE standards from? [faq14-803]) or through the US's Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) (check out the FAQ FMVSS Specifications [faq108-817]).

Check with Federal Dept of Transportation regulations. They have all sorts of marking requirements and maximums listed.

MIKESR,

Did you find what you were looking for?
