I have heard the following: In FRP pipe cross linking of chemical bonds during curing causes the material to become brittle – exposure to H2S increases this effect (i.e. causes further embrittlement) - can anyone confirm this and elaborate?

Thanks.

Same answer as you got on the NACE forum:

Yes it can; and then again, it can also be aged by water, oxygen and sunlight amongst others which is why matrix material selection is important and pressure containing designs are factored to account for it.
