I've been tasked with performing the research required for verifying the feasibility of utilizing frp (fiberglass reinforced plastic) patches for blast furnace gas and coke oven gas supply mains. In particular I'm interested in how these types of repairs would relate to regulartory codes in the Province of Ontario (TSSA, CSA etc). I've only recently been introduced to fuel gas piping codes and so I'm not 100% sure where I should start. I'm not even certain that the mains, which are low pressure (55 inWC) fall under TSSA regulations.
I have already started by reading CSA B149.1-05 but I couldn't find anything that relates to material requirements other than ASTM A53 and A106 which are for carbon steel pipes.
